American Icon Willie Nelson Supports Full Mandatory Funding For Vets Healthcare
During a recent Willie Nelson Concert in Finger Lake, New York, Operation Firing For Effect’s National Chairman, Gene Simes managed to get a personal package delivered to Willie Nelson after the concert.
The package contained OFFE’s resolution for full mandatory funding of veteran’s healthcare, and OFFE T-shirt that says; ‘Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You, Ask What Is Your Country Not Doing For Your Veterans?’
On Monday of this week, Gene received the following message on his voice mail; “Gene, this is Willie, call me.” Gene made that call, and discovered Mr. Willie Nelson was very interested in the full mandatory funding for veteran’s healthcare issues.

Willie Nelson Memorial Day Signature Guitar Raffle

HOW TO ENTER Entering the raffle is easy. Simply print out the entry form at the link provided below and send it in to the address listed on the form with your $10 entry fee. You can enter as many times as you like, but you must fill out a separate entry form with $10 for each entry. All entries must be received by 1200 hours on May 25, 2008. The public drawing will take place on May 25th in Waterloo, New York (original site of the first Memorial Day Ceremony) at 1300 hours on the main stage in Lafayette Park
In addition to the Willie Nelson signature guitar, the winner will receive a certificate of authenticity, gig bag, guitar strap, extra set of strings, and several guitar picks. The guitar also features a built-in tuner. Proceeds from this raffle will be used to produce several public service announcements supporting full mandatory funding for veteran’s healthcare to be aired on CNBC during the month of October of this year. The purpose of these PSAs will be to inform the next administration, regardless of political affiliation, the American people expect the healthcare needs of our veterans will be fully funded.
